3D Rendering of Global Clouds and Aerosols.
This is a brief description of a 3D image constructed to depict global pattern of clouds and aerosols.

The image is comosed of three data layers:
- Year average aerosol from AVHRR sensor
- Daily cloud from 5 GOES satellites (Wisconsin - I could get the FTP address)
- Continental vegetation map from AVHRR (USGS FTP site? - I could get the FTP address)
The cloud hight data were derived from IR brightness. The hight was exhadurated about 50 times. We are in the process of making a rotating globe animation of the same data. It could be flashy addition to the electronic MODIS brochure and/or other global sensing illustrations.
The image was rendered through a GIS-like mapping/gridding/viewing software (MS Windows), developed at here at CAPITA . We plan to post the software on the Net soon, along with the other software that we have developed.
