Browsing and navigating through a hypertext document is aided by a hierarchical document structure and by a Linkbar that facilitates navigation between linked documents in a domain.

The Linkbar is a collection of standard button help the user navigate in the domain where the current page resides. Linkbars define the virtual location of the page within the domain. Linkbars are located at the top and bottom of each page, and when a button is not outlined with a blue line then it is not linked.
Home Page links to the domain's
top page.
One page up displays
the page above the current one in the hierarchical document.
Previous section displays
the previous adjacent sibling in the hierarchical document.
Next section displays
the next sibling in the document.
Domain outline button
will call up a map outline of the domain.
Search button will prompt
a keyword search in the domain.
