About this Website
This website was set up to facilitate communication and resource sharing for the people interested in Central American Fire Event. An additional purpose is to gain more experience in the use of the Web as a medium for communication and collaboration.
The 'community' is encouraged to comment on discussion topics and contribute web-based resources. In order to participate in this website, you must be registered with the People's page. Submitting new comments or responding to existing comments can be done on the Forum page. Registering of relevent web-links should be done in the Resources section. Alternatively, just e-mail your comments or web-links to R. Husar and we will post it for you.
- What's New section is an automatically maintained chronological list of events on the website - a good place check for changes.
- FAQ contains frequently asked questions.
- Technical Forum is the page where the discussion of technical issues is to take place.
- Regulatory Forum is the page where the discussion of regulatory issues is to take place.
- Reports is a section where web links to analytical reports are submitted by the community.
- Resources contains data, images, and tools related to the Central American fire event.
- People page is a list of discussion participants. Each participant must register (name, e-mail, affiliation) before they can submit comments.
- Acknowledgement recognizes the contributions of key individuals to this ad-hoc collaborative endeavor.
