Hello Soltanci I am born in Bitola in Macedonia but I have lived in Sweden my hole live.
I was the first one to build a house in "peligrin" Stomorska 1983. For the rest of the World I can tell that Solta is a FANTASTIC Island. I have been in Solta 1-2 times per year since 1983, and ALL PEOPLE are very nice and helpfull. I want to thank all "soltanci" and my neighbours for everything,and I look forvard too meet You soon again.

I think Solta is a great place, i've never been there but i heard about it from one of the in-mates at a local prison, he said he killed a bunch of priests while he was there, i don't know. Did you know that Ngewo created the universe? i have one complaint, not enough Ebonics translators there.
I was in Stomorska in 1997. The reality is quite different as it`s homepage. For example, you can not get "the best pizza on island"until 6 PM,because it is too expensive for owner to make only one or two pizzas at once. Not to talk about fabolous hospitality...
Both my parents are from Grohote(related to Linda and JoAnn above)and I have visitd every summer since 1994. There is nothing like the Adriatic for sea, air and fish.I'll be home again in August.

I was born in Stomorska and live now in Germany near Frankfurt. My daughters, Nadja and Nicole, my wife Karin and I spend all summer holidays in Stomorska. We enjoy very much to stay there and to meet all our friends and at first all other members of my dear familiy in Croatia.

I met Atti Husar at University Miami last year and thanks to him I got to visit the greatest place on earth last summer. I suppose I'm the only Welshman to register here but after meeting the Husar family and all their friends last time I'd like to think that I'm an honorary Soltani now and I'll certainly be back again this summer - just try and stop me!

I never had a chance to visit Solta, but I hope that I will in the future. I spent last few years in St. Louis where I met Marin Bezic known as "the Marin Solta". I had a chance to visit many islands of The Adriatic while I was still living in Croatia, and next time I go back I am going to find time to visit Solta. For now I would like to say HI to all my croatian friends in Zagreb, Hvar, Split, and the ones in Slavonija. See you all at Solta in the near future-I hope.

My father was born on Solta (Grohote) and while I have never been there, I plan to visit with my husband and daughters. We're hoping to visit in the fall. I believe I still have cousins living on Solta and would like to contact them. My father was born in Gornje Selo and I spent most every summer on Solta while I was living in Split until age 11. The last 17 years I've been living in California but still try to go to Solta every time I am in Croatia, at least in the summer. I find the island to be the ultimate escape from the rat race of big cities and hectic business life of the western world.

I visited Solta for two months in the summer of 1990. I am from the United States, but some of my family lives in Grohote on Solta. My baba and dida visit the island for four months every year. The last time I visited I met my family and made many wonderful friends. I look forward to visiting the island again.

I am a Washington University photography student from Baltimore Maryland. I have been dreaming of Solta all semester since my Croatian friend, Marin Bezic, invited me to spend a few weeks with him this summer at his summer chalet. I have heard the rumors but I usually don't like to depend on hearsay, so I have decided to discover the wonders for myself. I'm studying a few words in croatian now in hopes to be able to venture out and meet the rest of the crazy croats on my own.
Although my origin is not from Solta, my wife's is. So, I'm in love with Solta for more than a quarter of a century, more than my older son Zoran's age is. I have been a regular Solta visitor for the last 19 years. I am a Goripojanka,i.e. from Gornje Selo, the wildest place on Solta where the parties never stop and people are cool... I study and live in Brussels, while my father is the minister-counsellor at the Croatian Embassy in Washington,DC. I am planning to build a beach volleyball court in Stomorska, right above the Bok. I have spent one summer in Solta back when it was still Yugoslavia. I enjoyed myself a great deal and hope to one day return to the Island. I hope also to help with the development of this page.
First of all, I adore Šolta. My father was born in Šolta, more precisely in Donje Selo. Every summer I spend in beautiful Maslinica. I live in Split, but now I study in Budapest, for M.A degree in history. I was very suprised and enthusiastic when I saw information about my Šolta, so I decided to join your attempt to draw near Šolta to people all over the world.
My father is from Stomorska, and I have spent every single summer of my life there. Solta is beautiful and peaceful island, like many other Croatian islands.
