Huh, this was a big one! It was the kind of smoke event that only an AQ analyst could love. In STL it was really thick and the way I see it on SeaWiFS and GOES, the East Coast got it pretty bad too. What did it look like in North Carolina on Sunday? Any good ground truth data, anyone?
On Friday the 15th at CAPITA we had to stagger the TV crews in hourly increments! It seems that the Lung Association mobilized the local media when they heard from the City that we have approached the PM standard. Will put transcripts of the TV reports on the web, so we can analyze as to what is 'newsworthy' out of all the technical stuff we gave them.
