Highest airborne concentrations and deposition rates of sulfur (and other pollutants) are typically observed downwind of areas of highest emissions.
Note that these NAPAP emissions data are 11 years old, and may have changed significantly. This was, however, the most recent emissions data we could find (in a useful format) which included both US and Canadian emissions data. Surely we (collectively) can do better than this!
