Notes:
Originally, we thought that by analyzing the 36 hour back trajectory (created with NOAA’s HY-SPLIT model), we would be able to ascertain the source origin of this July 21st episode. Both coastal locations in Maine were highly impacted by transport up the eastern seaboard, while North Cape PEI, with it’s signature of long range night-time transport, derives its origins from a more predominantly westerly flow.
